I remember in High School seeing an old copy of American Artist magazine with an interview with Norman Rockwell, and how he was experimenting in his work in his early 80's. That struck me and has stayed with me. I have SO far to go in learning about art, and that it's a journey without a destination.
Indeed! I guess what keeps me going... and this might sound terrible, but meeting some old schoolers and hearing them complaining about how they can't get any work, etc. When you see the work, as much as I love it, it's just the same stuff they've been doing since I was in diapers. You MUST push yourself into uncharted territory. It's scary and frustrating, but ultimately rewarding.
Mostly I just get bored with my own stuff and jealous of what everyone else is doing. HAHA!
This is fantastic. I have never cared for the ninja aspect of Zartan. I always figured he'd be a great nemesis for Flint. I picture a very Dark Knight struggle between them. Flint will have to do the unthinkable to beat Zartan.
For example, despite this looking like Zartan is beaten, there is no way Flint will execute him like that. Which means Zartan will get another chance - and will take it.
