GI JOE ORIGINS 16 cover alt

This is the one that was kicked back by Hasbro. I think you can see more of the influence of South American art on the color in this version. I'll grant you, the costume does make him look like one of the more butch members of the Village People, but don't blame me. Blame the guys at Hasbro in the 80's.

I still remember loving my Zartan figure as a kid. Zartan came with other faces and he changed color in sunlight. The color change thing made no sense in the world of GI JOE at the time, but man it was cool.

There's something creepy about this one I still like a lot.
