Iron Man, Iron Man, Does whatever an Iron can...

Journal Entry: Thu May 1, 2008, 9:37 PM
I've been converted to being an Iron Man Fan. Excuse the stream of consciousness typing but I'm tired and ready for bed soon.

I just got back from and early show of Iron Man. It's quite simply the best Super-Hero Movie since Superman the Movie. It might even be better. Strong words I know but hear me out on this. What Iron Man has that is amazing these days is a third act that works. Superman even falls apart at the end. (I know, I know, it's not so much Richard Donner's fault as it is the Salkynd's fault for taking the film away from Donner before he got to execute his plan for the film) Spider-man falls apart at the end. Even though Batman Begins was amazing the third act falls apart there too. Iron Man starts SO strong and keeps the story tight and clear. The conventions of all the previous super-hero movies are there but Faveru and company figured out how to make them actually work and make sense in the story. Yes, like in every other movie they fight with their masks off in the end. It never seems to make sense when Spider-Man does it, but in this one the reason for Tony and Stane's unmasking makes sense and is necessary. That's exactly the kind of thing that makes this movie so much better than the others. They take the time to think out if the things that the characters do and say do more than just move the plot along, actually make sense. Remember the Butler from Spider-Man 3 who comes out of nowhere to drop the knowledge he's kept his mouth shut about through all of #2 at exactly the point of the movie he needs to move the plot along? None of that crap here.

Go see it. Form your own opinions. My only complaint was I wanted more Iron Man.

AND STAY UNTIL THE CREDITS ARE OVER FOR GOD'S SAKE!

You always hear that people want to see something different. Then you give them something different. And they don't know how to deal with it.

I hated driving anywhere past exit 113 towards downtown. Pretty much stayed either around Gwinett or Buford.

Thanks to you for the fave and friendship, I look forward to more of your work.

My truck kinda died on me, so I'm stuck way outside the perimeter out here in Kennesaw. I left Oxford back in July. The commute was costing me $60 in gas alone every week. I miss the people, and (some of) the customers! Good to see you on here, though, and thanks for the fave!

Hi Tod,
Thanks for the kind words. I've been to Mall of Georgia a few times. I tend to stay in the perimeter mostly. I get lost easily so I stay close to home.

Great colors, just starting to learn myself.

Ever been to the mall of Georgia or the Pendergrass flea market?.

Used to live in Maysville for a spell.
